About Steven Christie

Steven Christie is an Australian entertainment reporter, red carpet correspondent, television presenter, news producer, professional Master of Ceremonies and authorised marriage celebrant based in Sydney.

He currently works across Network 10 and The Hollywood Reporter Australia, covering entertainment, film, television and celebrity news. At Network 10, Steven serves as a producer on 10 News' lunchtime and Sydney bulletins, regularly producing entertainment stories for Angela Bishop's Entertainment Report, while also presenting regional news updates for Southern NSW. At The Hollywood Reporter Australia, he works as a red carpet reporter and contributes news and feature stories across the publication's digital and print platforms.

The Story So Far

Broadcast

Steven's career in media began while studying a Bachelor of Media Arts at the University of New South Wales. During university, he hosted multiple radio programs with the student publication BLITZ!, where he first developed a passion for entertainment reporting and celebrity interviews. In 2016, he covered his first red carpet event, before being appointed Blitz Radio Producer in 2018, overseeing the station's radio programming and podcast production.

Following graduation, Steven joined the Nine Network, where he began his television career producing on TODAY EXTRA. He later moved to Foxtel/Streamotion as a Video and Entertainment Producer and Social Presenter for the FLASH platform, returning to entertainment reporting and red carpet coverage.

Steven joined Network 10 as a Digital Video Producer for the 10 News social media team, producing and presenting news and entertainment content before transitioning back into broadcast television on the national Daytime 10 News bulletins. He now combines producing, presenting and entertainment reporting across multiple Network 10 programs while continuing his work with The Hollywood Reporter Australia.

Presenting, hosting, and Live Events

A passion for performing and presenting has been at the centre of Steven's career from an early age. He began acting in theatre and on screen at eight years old before being accepted into the NSW Arts Unit State Drama Company, performing in productions across Australia and the United Kingdom.

During this time, Steven also developed his skills as a presenter and host, regularly compering performances and showcases while learning from some of Australia's leading industry professionals. His experience has seen him perform and present at some of Sydney's most recognised venues, including the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Town Hall.

Today, Steven brings that same experience to live events as a professional Master of Ceremonies, hosting corporate events, convention panels and weddings. He is also an Authorised Marriage Celebrant, combining his background in live presenting with a relaxed, engaging style that helps create memorable celebrations.
